Season & climate in Poços de Caldas

The high season in Poços de Caldas is during the months of July and December, when temperatures are milder and the city receives a large number of tourists seeking its famous thermal waters and tourist attractions. During this period, it is common to find the city busier, with queues at the main tourist spots and a greater offering of cultural events and festivals.

The mid-season occurs in the months of April, May, August, and September, when the weather starts to cool down a bit, but is still pleasant for enjoying the natural beauty of the region. During this period, it is possible to find fewer tourist crowds and more affordable prices in accommodations and restaurants.

Finally, the low season in Poços de Caldas is in the months of January, February, March, June, October, and November, when temperatures are lower and the city receives fewer visitors. Despite this, it is a great time for those seeking tranquility and lower prices, as well as being able to enjoy the natural landscapes of the region without so much hustle and bustle.

The main attractions of Poços de Caldas include the Parque das Águas (Water Park), with its thermal springs and lush gardens; the cable car, which offers a panoramic view of the city; the Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) statue, which provides a privileged view of the surrounding area; and the Municipal Market, where you can find local products and handicrafts. In addition, the city also boasts a rich gastronomy, with a focus on sweets and cheeses produced in the region.
