Season & climate in Gramado

Gramado receives tourists year-round, but the busiest periods are mainly in winter and during the Christmas Lights festival.

The peak winter season runs from June to August, when the cold weather, fireplaces, colonial cafes, fondue, and romantic atmosphere attract thousands of visitors to the Serra Gaúcha region. Between October and January, the city experiences another very busy period due to the Christmas Lights festival, famous for its decorations, shows, and themed lighting.

The shoulder season usually occurs between March and May and also between September and part of October, when the weather is pleasant, the city is quieter, and prices are generally more affordable.

Even in summer, Gramado remains quite popular due to school holidays and the milder climate compared to other regions of Brazil.

In addition to the charm of its European architecture, Gramado is known for its gastronomy, artisanal chocolates, and attractions such as Lago Negro, Mini Mundo, Snowland, Rua Torta, and the traditional Gramado Film Festival.
