Paru is a boutique hotel located on the Costa dos Milagres (Coast of Miracles), conceived based on the principles of vernacular architecture, sustainability, functionality, and the appreciation of Brazilian design. With a built area of 1,522 m², it is centrally organized, starting from the comfort and service areas. The structure includes 8 bungalows, 12 suites, a spa, restaurant, swimming pool, shop, and gym. Circulation is fluid and integrated, providing multiple possibilities for use, with the sensory experience from the entrance being one of the central elements of the project. From the entrance, guests are invited to appreciate the unobstructed sea view, which remains the protagonist throughout the journey from the reception. The pergola creates a sense of spaciousness and framing, leading guests to areas even closer to the sea. Circulation expands in a continuous space, allowing easy access to the suites, restaurant, pool, and common areas. The adopted flowchart ensures fluidity and autonomy in the occupation of spaces, promoting a harmonious continuity between environments. In the bungalows, this continuity is reinforced by the fluid transition between the bathroom, the private pool, the rooftop, and the suite, integrating the private and the common, the interior and the exterior, in harmony with the nature of the Alagoas coast. The hotel's structure uses metal and reinforced concrete, providing open spaces and unobstructed views in the rooms, with total integration between the interior and exterior spaces. The use of glass and strategic openings maximizes natural lighting and ventilation, ensuring the thermal comfort of the accommodations. The mix of woods such as eucalyptus and sucupira offers warmth and sophistication to the spaces, while stones set with local clay add solidity to the linear volumetry and help to blend the architecture into the landscape. In the roofs, the use of straw reinforces thermal comfort and references the vernacular hut, harmonizing textures, materials, functionality, and form. The design of Paru is a fusion of contemporary, rustic, and minimalist references, resulting in an authentic creation. The bungalows are decorated with brushed natural stone headboards, bathrooms with split stone details, brise-soleils, and carved wooden furniture developed by local artisans. The furniture includes exclusive pieces, such as the Paru Sofa, designed for the hotel, as well as icons of Brazilian design, such as the Jangada Armchair by Jean Gillon, the Ouro Preto Armchair by Jorge Zalszupin, and the Mole Armchair by Sérgio Rodrigues. The project had a positive socio-economic impact on the region, mobilizing local materials, employing labor, and integrating artisans from the village as collaborators in the creation of furniture and carpentry. Thus, the Paru Boutique Hotel achieves an architecture with purpose, functionality, aesthetics, and a genuine signature, which honors and recognizes the richness of Alagoas' simplicity.
There are 20 accommodations, the smallest with capacity for 2 and the largest, 3 people.
