Kuriuwa Hotel

The Kuriuwa Hotel team will be available to make guests' stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. Kuriuwa Hotel is a hotel designed for couples, carefully established with respect for environmental preservation in a 24,000m² area at an altitude of 1750m in the Serra da Mantiqueira mountain range. The facilities comprise 17 guesthouses and a main building with complete infrastructure, distributed throughout the park ensuring privacy and privileged views of the mountains. The name Kuriuwa is of Tupi Guarani origin and means ARAUCARIA, a tree native to Brazil typical of the southern region of Brazil, but also found in the east and south of the state of São Paulo, southern Minas Gerais, mainly in the Serra da Mantiqueira, and in the mountainous region of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Its seed, better known as PINHÃO (pine nut), begins to fall at the end of March and continues until mid-July. Throughout the Kuriuwa Hotel area, there is an abundance of pine nuts falling from the Araucaria trees. In a sustainable way, they take advantage of what nature offers in the culinary arts, providing guests with the pleasure and unique experience of tasting cakes, broths, breads and other delicacies derived from pine nuts, handcrafted in the kitchen.
